2016 Contest Winner & Featured Author Continues Success

Our number one goal at Metamorphose is to seek out undiscovered talent in the science fiction and fantasy genres and help them cultivate that talent into a fruitful career. We aim to set our authors on a path to success.

That’s why we are so pleased when one of our own comes back to us with stories of success.

Last year, Nina Oram submitted her short story, “Deirdre,” to our 2016 writing contest. The ties to Irish lore mingled with the Chinese remedies and the darkness and light within us all stirred our whole panel of judges deeply. We knew that Nina was going places, and her story was not only selected unanimously as a winner but also as the cover art.

One year later, Nina reached out once again. But this time to share her success with us. Another publisher, Beyond Realities, saw exactly the same potential in Nina as we did. Her short story was a unanimous winner once again in their short story competition. And she didn’t stop there. Nina’s YA fantasy trilogy made a clear and strong impact on Luna Press. The first book of the trilogy is contracted for publication.

You can read all the details about Nina’s newfound success on Luna’s website.

‘Nina returned to us with a YA Fantasy trilogy, once again steeped in Irish lore. The Joining trilogy made its way to our offices and it was clear it would fit right in with Luna.’
